Baking Paper
Baking paper is manufactured by putting paper pulp sheets into a bath of sulfuric acid or rarely in zinc chloride. The paper is slightly dissolved or gelatinized during this procedure.
This process creates a sulfurized cross-linked material that has good non-stick or release capabilities due to its high density, stability, heat resistance, grease resistance, water resistance, lack of loose fibers, and low surface energy.
The characteristics of baking paper are equally useful in other fields too. Like the exterior coating of parchment provides the requisite resistance to abrasion, heat, and oil in the textile tube business.
